The goal of the Brooks Annual Workshop for Scholars (BAWS) is to advance scholarship and scholarly community in the areas of animal law and policy. The format of the 2026 Workshop will include both independent writing time and group discussion sessions on drafts and finished works of participants’ scholarship.

Although the Workshop agenda will be ambitious and demanding, there will be unscheduled time for socialization or leisure. Enchantment offers many opportunities for reflection, relaxation, and enjoying the scenic red rock canyons of Sedona.
